In 2009, Taylor's farm was divided into Damson Tree Lodge and Taylor's Farm, following Roger Jakeman's divorce. Roger continued his farming and pick your own fruit business at Damson Tree Lodge.


Planning permission for a wooden lodge as a residential dwelling was granted for Roger's lifetime use only. It is said, the chairman of the planning committee, in approving the application, added that after Mr Jakeman's death he would have to come back and remove it.
